President’s Message

Welcome, and thanks for your interest in NYSAFC! As your State Chiefs association, we’re here to provide education, information, and support to the leaders and future leaders of New York’s fire and emergency medical services. We advocate for responders of all ranks and all branches of the emergency services – career, volunteer, industrial, and military.

On our revamped website, you’ll find the latest news on all our events, like the Annual Conference & FIRE Expo and the Long Island Metro Fire/EMS Expo, as well classes and Hands-On Training programs. You can also learn more about the legislative initiatives we’re fighting for in Albany to benefit emergency responders from across the state. 

I encourage you to get involved with the State Chiefs. If you’re not a member, consider joining to stand with us and take advantage of our many member benefits, including subscriptions to Size Up, Firehouse, and CRACKYL magazines. You don’t have to be a chief to join our ranks! 

If you’re already a member, step up to serve on a committee and share your expertise, or help us get the word out about our initiatives by becoming a regional rep for your county. By engaging with NYSAFC, you'll support our mission of delivering vital training and advocacy for you and your department. You'll also advance your tactical skills and bring critical resources back to your agency.
