PERMA & NYSAFC 2020 MiniGrant Recipients Announced
The annual program financially assists PERMA and NYSAFC Fire Department Members in obtaining equipment that will help reduce injury and illness within their agencies.
Public Employer Risk Management Association, Inc. (PERMA), in partnership with the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs (NYSAFC), has selected the winners for the 2020 Firefighter Risk Reduction MiniGrant Program.
The goal of this program is to financially assist members in obtaining equipment that will help reduce injury and illness within their agencies. This year, monies were awarded to five members of both NYSAFC (Department Members only) and PERMA for new gear washer and dryers, which remove carcinogens from turnout gear while maintaining gear durability.
The 2020 MiniGrant recipients are:
- Chilson Volunteer Fire Company (Essex County)
- Coventry Volunteer Fire Company (Chenango County)
- Greene Fire Department (Chenango County)
- North Greece Fire District (Monroe County)
- Vestal Fire Department (Broome County)
