NYSAFC Mourns the Loss of Past President Edward Kehn

Edward J. Kehn Sr., past Rensselaer County fire coordinator, led the association as president from 1985-1986.

Past Fire Coordinator Edward J. Kehn Sr. of Rensselaer County passed away on August 8, 2022. A Life Member of NYSAFC, Kehn served as president of the association from 1985-1986.

In addition to his service as Rensselaer County fire coordinator, Kehn served 35 years as a volunteer firefighter and was a past president of the Speigletown Fire Department.

Kehn was a member of NYSAFC since 1964. In addition to serving on the board of directors, he was also a member of the Building Committee, which oversaw construction of the association's headquarters in Rensselaer County. The office was dedicated in 1984.

Kehn was owner and CEO of Wells Communications since 1969. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War.
