The Countdown is on for the 117th Annual Conference & FIRE 2023 Expo

Join us in Syracuse from June 14-17! FIRE 2023 will feature 195+ vendors, 34 firematic classes, 9 EMS CME classes, the Keynote Address presented by Captain Douglas Mitchell (FDNY), 7 Hands-On Training courses, accredited training for code officials and fire commissioners, the NYSAFC FIRE 2023 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, and networking opportunities for fire/EMS personnel of all ranks.

ATTENDEE REGISTRATION

One Day Tickets for entry to the exhibits are available in advance for $25 per person until June 7 (includes three tickets). Tickets are available on-site for $10 per person, per day.

Conference Full Term Registration for the expo and classes can be purchased in advance or on-site. Registration is $100 (NYSAFC Individual Member) or $175 (non-member) per person.

The pre-registration cutoff date is June 7. No badges or tickets will be mailed after this date. Registration is available at the door.

195 VENDORS AND COUNTING
Companies will be sharing information on a variety of services and displaying apparatus, tools, equipment, and new technologies for fire/EMS responders. Exhibits will be located in The Oncenter Conference Center and outside on Harrison Street. View the floorplan and list of exhibitors.

Thursday, June 15: 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Friday, June 16: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 17: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS
Captain Douglas Mitchell (FDNY) will present the Keynote Address: “Evolution You: Mission, Motivation, and Mindset” on June 15, 11:00 a.m., in The Oncenter Ballroom. Mitchell is a 31-year veteran of the fire service, the last 24 years with the FDNY. He is currently the captain of Ladder 38. The presentation, sponsored by VFIS, is open to all attendees.

HANDS-ON TRAINING
Hands-On Training will be delivered from June 14-16 at the Syracuse Fire Department Training Center. Spots are still available in all courses, but some sessions are sold out. 7 challenging courses will be presented: Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera Ops, Advanced Vehicle Extrication, Aggressive Interior Fire Attack, Fire Behavior On the Inside, First-In Officers' Responsibilities, Hoarder Fires, and Truck Company Essentials. Registration includes a Full Term pass for entry to classes and the exhibits.

FIRE AND EMS EDUCATION
34 firematic classes and 9 EMS CME classes will be presented from June 14-17 at The Oncenter. Industry leaders from across the nation will be lecturing, including John Norman, Frank Leeb, Christopher Eysser, Butch Cobb, Anthony Avillo, Tony Perez, and many more. Classes are open to Conference Full Term Registrants.

CODES AND FIRE COMMISSIONER TRAINING
Accredited training is available for code officials and fire commissioners at The Oncenter. Students can earn in-service codes hours by completing Codes Training on June 14 & 15. Training can be completed on one or both days of the program. Fire Service Attorneys Terry Hannigan and Mark Butler will present Fire Commissioner Training on June 14. The course meets and exceeds the requirements of Town Law 176-e, is approved by the New York state comptroller, and satisfies fire commissioner training requirements for those required to complete training within 270 days of election or appointment. Special registration is required for both programs.

NYSAFC FIRE 2023 9/11 MEMORIAL STAIR CLIMB
The NYSAFC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb returns to JMA Wireless Dome on the campus of Syracuse University. Join us as we climb to remember on June 16 and support the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Participate as a Climber or Virtual Climber  ($35 per person) or donate any amount to support the climb.

FIRE 2023 BLOCK PARTY
Join us after exhibit hours on June 16 at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown on South Warren Street! Catch up with old friends, network with other conference attendees, and enjoy a live performance by The Barndogs. Food, refreshments, and adult beverages will be available from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. – rain or shine! The celebration is open to all attendees and the public.

SPECIAL CEREMONIES AND EVENTS
All attendees are welcome to attend the Annual Conference General Session on June 15 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in The Oncenter Ballroom. The Association Business Meeting begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by our  Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. and the Keynote Address at 11:00 a.m. All are invited to attend the Installation Ceremony for the 2023-2024 slate of NYSAFC officers on June 17, 4:00 p.m., at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown – Persian Terrace.

VISIT SYRACUSE

PARKING
Parking is available in The Oncenter Lot for exhibitors only. All guests can park in The Oncenter Garage ($7 per day) or other designated event parking areas (daily fees apply). Check out the map on our website for addresses.
