PERMA & NYSAFC 2026 MiniGrant Application Period Open!

Through the annual Firefighter Risk Reduction MiniGrant Program, PERMA and NYSAFC assist Fire Department Members in obtaining gear washers and dryers. Applications will be accepted until November 2, 2025.
It's that time of year again!
Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Firefighter Risk Reduction MiniGrant Program, offered by PERMA in partnership with NYSAFC. This year, 20 grants of $5,000 each will be awarded to help departments purchase gear washers and dryers – critical equipment for reducing firefighters' exposure to carcinogens.
To date through this program, PERMA has awarded $294,848 in grants for the purchase of firefighter gear washers and dryers to 54 fire departments in New York state.
To apply, agencies must be members of both NYSAFC (Department Members only) and PERMA. Please review the grant guidelines and submit the online application by November 2, 2025.
